REAL GREEN ALBERTA
Initiative

Our goal is to prepare and inform Alberta’s real estate sector about the changes to building codes and other regulatory mechanisms put in place to achieve municipal, provincial and federal net-zero targets in the built environment. Our work aims to contribute to long-term energy literacy and awareness development among real estate professionals and provide the basis for a permanent dialogue with the growing number of consumers, builders, and financial institutions employing energy efficiency metrics in their decision-making.

We have developed a strategic roadmap for building codes and laid the groundwork for outreach efforts, engaging real estate professionals and industry stakeholders.
